Historylinks Schoolpacks Historylinks Schoolpacks have been produced
to support schools visiting the Historylinks Trail and Museum. The resource
packs include a range of worksheets to help Primary & Secondary School
pupils gain an understanding of the history of the Royal Burgh of Dornoch.
They aim to fit in with the 5-14 National Guidelines for Environmental
Studies. The schoolpacks contain a CD, worksheets and teacher's notes for both Primary and Secondary schools, as well as items common to both. The CD provides access to worksheets in both Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF format. Schools are free to print and copy these as required. The Word versions can be edited by teachers if required. The schoolpack pdf files for Primary and Secondary schools can be viewed or downloaded for printing from this website (see righthand navigation panel). Adobe Acrobat Reader is required for access to these files. Historylinks Museum is open all year but with limited opening in winter months. School parties are welcomed. Schools should phone before visiting. The maximum recommended party size at any one time is 15 although 10 is preferable. Large classes can often make arrangements to visit the Cathedral and/or walk some of the Trail at the same time in order to split up the group. Further information can be obtained from Peter Wild, Assistant Curator historylinks@connectfree.co.uk Last
